Hmmm...Don't know a thing about warning sirens other than I just took two down from the rooftop of a building I own in a small town in Ohio. The "newer" siren is a Sterling 5 H.P. 3 phase unit M48. I believe it was installed in the early 50's.

The older model looks very similar to the schematics that I just looked at regarding the Denver Siren Patent. It was made by the Century Electric Company out of St. Louis. It is an 8 hp unit, 110 volts, and what looks to say .60 cycle. Patented May 7, 1899 and Jan. 13, 1903.

Anybody have more info on these sirens or would like to purchase them? I am all ears. I do not want to scrap them.

Yes I am. Since my last post I have found out that the older siren is a Denver Siren. The motor driving it was made by the Century Company. As far as the patent number, I found the placard on the Denver Siren, but have found it impossible to read. Is there another area on the siren that I can find it?

No, not at I know of. The only thing I can think of would be on the main base some where their may be a stamped number or other ID.

One again, You'll have a better chance of selling it if you register and post your topic here:

http://www.airraidsirens.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=4

There are some good people there, and I'm sure one or two of them would be happy to buy the siren(s)

Also, some info on the siren,
Denver Siren was a trade name for sirens produced in the late 1800's and eary 1900's by the Hendie and Bolthoff MFG. and Supply company out of Denver Co.
